We focused on three things when we created this pack. High quality sounds, saving time, and versatility. We believe this library covers this.

We captured the most common loops that are used in songs every day. These loops also needed to be available at different tempos. Reason being: we want organic sounding loops when we match the tempo to our session. What’s the point if after conforming the loop to the tempo, it sounds bad? And as we all know every song is different, some fast and some slow. Having the same loops at different tempos is essential. So we recorded the same loops for each tempo: 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, & 160 BPM. Oh and the loops were recorded at 192 kHz. We found that when stretching or shrinking loops at 192, there were less artifacts sounding more natural.

In addition to the loops we also recorded one shots so you can add to the backbeat or just swap it into a preexisting loop creating your own unique variation.

We didn’t stop there though, we recorded 5 sets of tambourines each with its own unique sound. We engineered them with stereo XY close mics and room mics giving you the option to do what’s best. Close and dry, further back in the mix with the room, or a blend of the two. Everything was recorded cleanly, low noise, and minimum processing for natural sounds. This give the producer control so they can enhance or alter the sound to their needs.

Setting up mics, gain staging, capturing the part which often times is the same groove that’s been used countless times, and editing the performance are no longer needed (most of the time). Save time and move on to the more important parts of the production without scarifying quality. If you really do need a different sound or a different part you can always record it later.
